Kalo Foundation/Iannelli Studio

Studio & home of Alfonso Iannelli and his wife Margaret. After working on Midway Garden he settled in Park Ridge in 1919 and opened his doors to many great artists and architects. The Studio became a hub of creativity with many clients. Learn about Edgar Miller, Barry Bryne, Bruce Goff all of whom called Iannelli Studio their home.

    Iannelli had cats, but today the Studio mascot is Bogie. He wags his tail and meets and greets visitors and welcomes them in

  • Architectural Drawings

    A collection of many original Iannelli drawings, as well as sketchbooks, letters and photos

  • Resource Room

    The Studio boosts a resource room with not only the books written on the famous who lived and worked there but many other art related books as well

  • Education of Our School Children

    We often go to the schools and teach our children about the art history of Park Ridge. We have worked with the school district to produce educational posters

  • Interior Designs as well as Commercial

    There are examples of some of the many designs produced at the Studio by the artists As well as Kalo Silver produced by the Kalo Shop

  • Sculptures

    On display are several original as well as a first cast of an original sculptures. One is 11 feet tall and was on Immaculatta high school as well as a collection of Kalo Silver and other art pieces by great artists.

  • Lincoln Bust

    Shown at art institute and developed as a model for the Lincoln Hwy. It's mold will be cast in Paris in bronze and displayed in Paris

  • Appliances

    Often you will see the Studio Mascot AppliancesBogie. He meets and greets our guests and invites them to look around. Many Sunbeam and Oster appliances designed by Iannelli from coffee pots to hair dryers. Come see our collection
